A cushion changes a room with very little. It changes the sofa you already own, without your having to change the sofa. At Zazie's, every cushion is hand-painted — the cover is unique, the filling can be replaced, the fabric is true natural fabric.

Cover and filling — separable

The painted cover slips off for washing thanks to a hidden zip on the underside. The inner filling is goose down 90/10 (for softness), recycled hypoallergenic fibre (for practicality), or kapok (for natural density). You can choose a new cover without changing the filling, or the other way round.

Measurements — from 40×40 to the floor

Usual formats: 40×40 cm (small sofa), 45×45 (standard), 50×50 (larger sofa), 60×60 (low armchair), 70×70 (floor cushion). Rectangular formats 30×50 cm and 40×60 cm for the bed. Bespoke measurements on request.

Why the fabric matters

A cushion is touched. Linen stays cool in summer and warm in winter. Cotton welcomes the hand. Hemp holds up to heavy use. Zazie chooses the fibre with you, according to where the cushion will live — the main sofa of the house, the reading armchair, the bed, the floor.

Compositions: single or parure

One strong cushion painted in a bold motif such as Karakorum or Caos lives alone on a neutral sofa. A parure of 3-5 cushions in variations of a single motif (different colours, different scale) builds the atmosphere of a room. Zazie advises from a photograph of your space.

How to commission

A photograph of the sofa, armchair or bed, the measurement you want, the palette. First visual proposal within 48 hours. Made in 2-4 weeks for a single piece, 4-6 for a parure.
