The way you lay the table tells the way you live. A hand-painted tablecloth is not an accessory — it is the frame of the dinner. At Zazie's, placemats and tablecloths are born in dialogue with you: the motif, the colour, the measurement, the fabric.
Placemats — measurements and matter
Standard format 33×48 cm, also in 35×50 and to measure. Heavy linen for a formal table, soft cotton for every day, structured hemp for outdoors. Each placemat is painted singly — no set is mechanically identical, but the motif holds together across the parure.
Tablecloths — from the square for two to the rectangle for twelve
Tablecloths are sized to your table. Round for round tables, rectangular or square for the rest. You tell us the measurements of the table, the number of guests you usually seat, whether you prefer a drop of 20 cm (informal) or 40-60 cm (formal). Zazie proposes the palette and the motif, you confirm.
The catalogue is an inspiration, not a limit
The motifs you see online — Karakorum, Arlecchino, Vele, Spiga, Toupies, La Vera Menorquina — are pieces already made. They are your point of departure. Any motif can be taken up, adapted, re-scaled for your table, in a palette we choose together.
How to wash them
Hand-wash or machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, no bleach. The pigment is fixed to withstand repeated washing. Iron on the reverse with steam. Cared for, a piece by Zazie lasts 15-20 years with the colour still alive.
