Some cities stay in your hands — Istanbul is one of them. The cobalt blue of azulejos, the dusty pink at sunset over the Bosphorus, the aged gold of the mosques, the green of closed gardens. Zazie translated it all into a hand-painted motif — geometric but not rigid, like ancient mosaics that always left a deliberate imperfection. On linen, because Istanbul’s skin is both rough and warm.
