Rectangular blocks of navy, paper blue, teal green, a lone mustard yellow that lights the composition like a lamp behind a closed window. This is not an exuberant chair: it’s a chair for listening to music. You place it next to the bookcase, or by the window that looks onto the courtyard, or at the head of the table on a November evening when it’s raining outside. Whoever sits on a Paul Blues always ends up staying longer than they meant to.
Frame in solid beech, model C by Sillas Menorca — village workshop in Menorca, nearly a hundred years of history, the same hands, the same drawing. Pale wood with water-based ecological varnish. Acrylic canvas hand-painted by Zazie in her Roman atelier, block by block, never two chairs quite alike. Open 84 × 51.9 × 59 cm, folded 8 cm thick, five kilos. Washable at thirty degrees. Indoors it belongs anywhere. Outdoors too, provided you don’t leave it out under three days of rain in a row.
